Project Overview

My Personal Interest project is the process it took me to learn Morse code. I have always been interested in survival skills, Like shelter finding, foraging, fire building, etc. The first time I was interested in Morse code was when I read a Nancy drew book in where she used Morse Code to help her escape. When I heard about the PIP Project, I figured this would be a good opportunity to learn something I have always wanted to learn.

I'm Anna Piascik and I live in Portland, Ct. I have a twin brother and a sister in BIS. I love to read, Write, Paint, Hike and learn survival skills. This is what made me interested in Morse code. I like to inspire others to communicate more clearly, as it is an important aspect in our everyday life.

Final Project

Overall, the Personal Interest project was beneficial in so many ways. In the process where we chose our PIP it helped us as students realize what things we loved and what things we were passionate about. It also helped us notice some goals or hobbies we had and helped us get a head start on pursuing them. The process in which we planned out our PIP taught us life skills that we will need like Goal reaching and responsibility. Getting to choose a project that was personally something we liked made the PIP experience so much more fun. At the end of the PIP, I came out of it with a skill that I wanted to learn.
