Project Overview

Hello, my name is Ella Woodward. For my PIP I have chosen to make fleece tie blankets for the local senior citizens center. I am choosing this project and challenging myself by making blankets that I have wanted to do for a while but have not decided to do. I am a blanket lover. I have challenged myself to make 4 blankets. To complete this project I went to Joann Fabrics to get my supplies and will assemble the blankets all by myself.

Collaboration

I worked with my Mom and Dad mostly.
My Mom has already made multiple fleece tie blankets (her favorite blanket is one that she made, a fleece tie). Since she has experience she helped me learn how to cut the fleece correctly and how to assemble them. My Dad helped me because his job is an estimator and he helped me choose the right lengths and widths.

Ella Woodward

I am Ella Woodward an 8th grade student at Portland Middle School. I love blankets, food, friends, and family. I am an excessive blanket lover. Every store I enter if I see a blanket I immediately go to touch it (my dad always says no but I am still on the hunt for the perfect blanket). Blankets make me feel safe, cozy, and comfortable. I think doing this project will help me with building skills, problem solving, and maybe help me find the perfect blanket for me. To add on, I hope this project will make me want to keep exploring new hobbies. I wish people that get these blankets will feel safe, comfortable, and cozy. Everyone deserves to keep warm in cold months.
